Cola awoke feeling groggy, but somewhat renewed, from his encounter with Jagex the Hutt and his long journey home. A slight glint of sun light shines through Cola’s master bedroom window as it rises against the eastern sky. The dawn has come and normally Cola would have already been up for the days events. Ready to fill all of the days work orders that lie waiting for him to complete. But not today, Cola thought, Dawn Stars told him that a High Counsel Meeting will be held in review of the encounter with Jagex the Hutt. Cola, still mentally whining, I had sent them a full description and details of the encounter, can’t High Counsel read? Among all of the things needed to be completed today, other than being accosted by the High Counsel! I have to buy some food to fill my cupboards, and fill the orders that lie in wait for him to complete. As Cola lay thinking and feeling over whelmed by his master list, he lays sprawled out upon his four poster mahogany bed, oh, how I don’t want to get up for the day! Oh, how I missed your wonderfully comfort and softness, he spoke to his bed. Cola thought, of all of the times spent laying upon the hard earth, when he was out on his mission to the south. Cola thought, as he stretched every limb and joint in his body, knowing quite well he must rise with the day. But, as Cola settled deeper into his goose feathered king size bed, his eyes begin to roll back. Slowly opening and closing his eyes, he’s now seeing hazy images of his night stand next to his bed and leather winged back chair stationed near the right side of his bed. Cola rolls to his side, as his back side was now exposed and uncovered from his blanket! “Burr“, he said as he felt a slight chill in the room. Cola then pulling his quilted blanket over his shoulders, covering his backside as he pulls it up to his bridge of his nose. So comfortable and warm, he thought, as Cola starts to drift off into a deep sleep again.
An hour later Cola awoke once more, now feeling refreshed and anew, as the bright sun, in full blaze of it‘s glory, announcing that the day had indeed started without the mighty Cola! As the sun light shines a bright aqua in shade, it must be near mid morning, he thought, really not caring to leave his abode. But Cola realized he must, for his bladder says to arise and stomach said feed me! Cola sat up in his bed, placing his feet firmly to the floor, in a sitting position, still not wanting to arise for the day. He sat for a minute rubbing his eyes and scratching his head, “well” he thought, “I got this far, that’s an achievement within it’s self.” Cola feeling the coolness of his light teak planked flooring as he arises and stretches his arms out wide, breathing deep and exhaling, letting out a mighty roar of life from within.
Cola stands up now, stretching his sore legs and begins to make his first step of the day. He passes the wingback chair with is right arm out stretched as if it would keep him from falling from his staggering first steps of the day. Out through his bedroom, hanging a sharp right, he achieved his first task of the day and relieve himself in his white marble bathroom. “Oh, thank god,” he thought, “My father was such a genius to add this room with a free flowing commode, sink and marble bathing tub twenty years ago.” he said with a grin. For only a few homes have all three bathroom possessions in their bathing rooms. Cola walks back into the his bedroom with a sharper vision now, eyeing the furniture and floor to behold the well crafted furniture that lies with in, what a sight to behold . He walks to his mahogany closet, deep dark brown and rich in color, with the mastery of craftsmanship, with Celtic knots running the width of the large cabinet. Cola searches for the clothing that would be suitable for the meeting of the High Counsel, as to what had occurred against the Mighty Jagex the Hutt, or rather what didn’t take place at all, he thought. He looks through his clothing and finely settled upon his royal blue bloused tunic and deep blue breeches. He grabbed his leather high boots that sit at the bottom of the closet, with his left hand, still draping clothing over his right arm and strolls back into his bathing room once more.
After his cold bath, he dressed for the day. Walking down his white marble and mahogany stairway on the western wing of his estate. He enters his kitchen through a secondary doorway feeling famish, for he had not eaten the night before. Cola looked through his cupboards only finding a great supply of tea. He then walked to his larder, not finding any thing within, “well” he thought, “I guess I should have shopped at the General Store last night, when I had the chance to do so! “Aw,” he though, of the night before, “I sure needed that cup of tea!” “Well, I guess I had better set out to visit the general store to fill my needs for the week“, he said aloud to himself. Cola walked across his black marble floor in great greeting as foot step lay heavy and echoes of the four great walls. He entered into his study, walking directly to his beautiful teak desk. Cola reached for the bottom right drawer of his desk, pulling out his green dragon leather pouch with money inside. Well this should be enough for what I need for the moment, then Cola quickly exited his home to visit the General Store.
As Cola began walking, he gazed upon the most gorgeous sky, hues of blue the entire expanse of the sky, with billowy white and under crested silver clouds as they moved slowly across the eastern sky. Cola uses his favorite short cut, to cross the vales grand park now passing the fount and the magical tree of life. Cola skipped up the steps as if he was a kid once again, onto the porch to enter the general store. He opens the great yew door to make his grand entrance. As he walks into the store he glances upon the shelves full of food and supplies that are aligned with door space. The general store is beautifully decorated and arranged with teak double sided shelving standing five feet from the floor. The selves to the rear are stocked with tweed sacks of dry goods such as beans, dried meats and breads on the back side of the double shelves. Cola walks to the front side of the shelving and finds fresh produce, such as baskets of tomatoes, sweet potatoes and leafy lettuces.
Cola looks back to where the teak shelving’s are aligned, he gazes upon the white ash wood paneled wall. Upon the panel wall is a teak shelf, running the length. and width of the large store. The shelf is dressed with beautifully hand carved cherrywood and teak animals throughout. Cola gazes up at the well crafted adult and baby; rabbits, bears, wolves and dears, as they sit upon shelves, adorned with deep green ivy around them. As Cola carefully walks to the right side of the store, he noticed that the teak planked flooring had just been waxed and felt his right foot beginning to slip from beneath him. Cola glance from the left to the right eastern end of the store, noticing eight tables in a circle formation, filled with clothing of men’s tunics and trousers of various styles. Near the back side of the tables were two racks of women bodices and dresses hanging upon them.
Cola walks towards the right side of the eastern end of the store, looking upon the various equipment that he may need for the coming spring. That will be when he returns to the granite mountains to the east to craft granite stones. He gazes upon the pickaxes and hatches on the first table he sees, then moving to his left, is more of what he was looking for; files, sanding stones, mallets and chisels. He picks up a straight edge and an offset edged curved chisel, to feel the weight and to ensure they were of the type to fit his needs.
He then returned to the shelves and picks up a few sacks; one of dried beef, one of pinto beans, one sack of rice and one sack of dried mixed berries. Cola walks over to the western end of the store, where the long teak counter was located and placed the four sacks of dry goods and two chisels down. He noticed, no one was around in the store, not even the stores own. “It’s a small matter really.” he thought. Cola walked to the large oak larder on the north of the stores counter and picks out six goose eggs and a container of milk. To the extreme right side of the larder are many blocks of ice that are needed very much for his own larder in his home.
Cola returned to the stores counter, still not seeing a soul. Cola, began pounding upon the counter hoping that someone in the antechamber would hear him. After a couple minutes have passed, as he pounds the counter a thousand times, in walks Mrs. Nibbits. She enters the store with a feather duster in her left hand, in full attack mode and screams out in a heavy bold voice, “will you shut that kid up!” As she noticed it was Cola who was banging upon the counter, she ran around the counter to give Cola a huge hug. “Welcome back my boy“, she said in a loving sweet voice, “how are you felling, are you hungry, I bet you are.” she said in a massive ramble, fore which Cola only caught part, “are you hungry.” Mrs. Nibbits is small in stature, but strong as a bull, Mrs. Nibbits grabbed Cola’s right arm pulling it straight out of it’s socket, as she leads him into the antechamber, where she had emerged from. Mrs. Nibbits led Cola to the antechambers kitchen, to the table in the center of the room and pulls out a chair for Cola to sit.
“Where is Mr. Nibbits, I didn’t seen him in store”, Cola says as Mrs. Nibbits began to cook Cola a few scrabbled goose eggs upon the steel stove. “The Mr. is outside of town at the moment, slathering a few cows and hang drying some meat in our hickory shed. He will be gone for most of the day.” As Mrs. Nibbits finished making Cola’s breakfast placing a plate before him. Cola’s mouth began to water, as he looks upon his plate of scrabbled goose eggs, three large link sausages and two crisped dried bread. Mrs. Nibbits smiled as Cola began to eat, as she bring him a cup of milk to the table. Cola looks across the table a Mrs. Nibbits sits her self down. Mrs. Nibbits has a mothering type nature, though she wears her grayed hair tight and in a bun. She does look in her mid fifties, though half elves age slower than the world of man. Cola knows she’s lived a hard life, for she gives too much of herself to the needs of Aesopia. She was always ready to help someone when the need arises. Her skin is dry and wrinkled from the sun, fore she fills her shelves with the produce she grows. How sad he thought, for Mrs. Nibbits is truly a beautiful woman, but was robbed of her beauty from all of the hard work she had done throughout her hard life.
After Cola had licked his plate clean, he thanked Mrs. Nibbits for the wonderful meal he had just eaten, fore it was the best breakfast he has had in a great number of weeks! But Cola needed to be on his way, for he needed to meet with the High Counsel. He and Mrs. Nibbits returned to the front of the store and rang up Cola’s bill. “Mrs. Nibbits“, Cola said, “I will also require four blocks of ice for my larder and will it be possible for someone to deliver the goods to my home, please?” Mrs. Nibbits smiled and said, “sure thing sweetie, I’ll have little Ricken deliver your goods to your home in a few minutes.” Cola reached into leather belt for his green leather coin pouch, pulling out ten gold coins.” Cola asks, “will this settle the bill, plus giving Ricken a tip?” Mrs. Nibbits smiled and said, “that will do it! I hope everything will go well with you today, when you meet with the High Counsel.” Cola smiled and said, “I hope so as well, but I must be on my way, Thank you again for breakfast, I really do appreciate the hospitality you have shown.” With that, Cola left the General Store and began to walk towards the Aesopia Keep.
As he strolled the narrow walkways to keep himself amused until he reached the Aesopian Keep. Cola began to think back about his last encounter with the Great Jagex the Hutt, not being able to breech the firewall that protected him in his chamber, from any assaults. Cola also recounts him being taunted on the great gigabyte battle field , by Jagex the Hutts three fools. And to add salt to injury, the embarrassing moments, Jagex the Hutt never showing up for the battle itself. “How rude”, Cola thought as he was walking to the keep. Cola had already outlined all of his accounts with Jagex the Hutt, from his descriptions of what he looks like, to how he communicates his desires to his employees. And how hard it was to gain entry to Jagex’s sanctum fore which Cola was unable to breech. As Cola strolls by the Butcher , the Bakery and the Candle Stick Makers! Cola continues his walk though the vale with his head in the clouds.
As Cola strolled through the township, he thought, what a wondrous sight it is to witness Aesopia’s beautiful shimmering, bright aurora as he looks skyward. With sun shining with smooth light breeze, fore which carries the sweet smell of jasmine. The maple swaying gently , their blood red and orange leaves hang dancing from the branches. Cola thought for a fleeting moment, maybe I should send word to the High Counsel that I am sick and won’t be able to attend the meeting! Too nice of a day to be inside for some meeting, that usually goes no where anyways. “Well, such is life”, Cola thought, “many things seem to be a waste of his valuable time, to begin with!” For it is such a beautiful day to walk to the western meadow and to spend the day under the sun eating and reading. What a great rest that would be. Aw, but if the High Counsel found out about it, they would throw me into the palaces dungeon and hang me by my thumbs. Nope, Cola thought, I had better just go and get the meeting over with. But, I have given the Counsel all of the information they needed already, why the meeting?
Cola had already sent word of all his accounts in a letter to the High Counsel, to avoid meeting with them in the first place. Cola was always nervous when he had to stand before the Great High Counsel. “It’s just the fear of the unknown, not knowing what hardships they are about to announce or some kind of task they may give me,” he thought. “Every time I have to stand before them, it never fails, it’s always bad news.” I swear, it’s always some kind of hard task that takes me away from my families ancient home. Cola thought, “man I need a vacation! Maybe this time the Counsel will give me a pass and I can take a good long break from any new tasks or at the very least, work on some of my crafts, fore which I greatly love.”
As Cola walks, with his mindset in the clouds of hope, as he crosses the beautiful spring fed moat of Aesopia. Cola stops to gaze upon his reflection in the crystal clear water, as he checks to ensure that he looks presentable to stand before the Counsel. After he felt satisfied with his appearance, he resumes his walk to the keep. As Cola walks though the mighty Yew gates of the formidable Keeps strong walls. Almost too bright to chance a glance as the sun beats down upon the great Keep walls. Once Cola passed the gates, he paused in awe of the sight fore which he beheld, the beautiful white marble palace. Such a sight to behold as the sun shines upon the palace, it shimmers with such brightness as the rays of the western sun reflects her bold light upon the Palace. Cola gazes upon the palace’s beautiful entry hall, with six great white granite columns, that stand forty feet in height and twenty feet around. The mighty columns are graced with a grand chapel like over hanging roof with white dragon shingles that shimmers in the suns light. As Cola neared the western palaces great outer hall, he feels the smoothness of the marvelous marble wall. He places his right cheek looking across to the eastern end of the palace’s beautiful walls. Straight as an arrow, not one out of place. And he feels the coolness of the of the marble against his right cheek. Cola steps back and looks at length, what a sight to behold indeed, with the white marble and it‘s bands of light grey, not one corner nor sharp edge on the blocks. Cola began walking again to the grand entry hall. He paces himself as passes the blood red and the snow white roses that grace the outer keeps low gardens. Spaced between is a lattice archway, jasmine weaving its way thru the lattice itself. That Jasmine in full bloom, sends its sweet smells upon the back of the gentle breeze. The roses and pink carnations all standing proud and full of life to compete its sweetness between them. Cola standing amidst, breathing in this floral life of harmonious aromas, as it fills his inner being.
He slowly walks through the palace’s beautiful front garden, until he reaches the white and black marble entry steps. Cola moved to the center of the marble grand steps to gaze upon it’s great beauty, for the width center of the steps, is made of black marble with it’s swirling bands of light grey. The eight feet wide, black marble arises as it’s graced with the white three wide sidings, of the black marble. The steps are rounded, in a half oval shape, starting fifty feet wide at the base, moving up increments, at as each step becomes less, of three feet in width. Cola slowly began to walk up the eight steps until he reached the palaces twenty foot white marble porch. Between the awesome twenty foot mahogany grand palace doors, are two home Aesopian soldiers, fore who guards the entry of the palace. The guards are dressed in runenite full armor gripping the mighty dragon halberd to their sides. The soldiers not moving a single inch, as they stood at attention, so proudly barring the entry to the palace, to those fore whom are without permission to enter the great marble palace.
As Cola moved foreword upon the entry way, the great mahogany doors open.
There standing between, the now opened palace doors, was a six and a half foot human, wearing a fine beautifully etched platinum Torag armor. The human removed his platinum winged helm from his head to reveal who he was, fore which was not needed. There was only one human family in all of Aesopia, Sammy Redbeard . Sammy stood proudly as he was the commander of the home guard. Cola was so very happy to see his childhood friend, his hair was as red as the leaves of the maple, falling and drapes the neck cuff of his armor. His skin was as white as snow, adorned with light red blows. His steel grey-blue eyes were sharp and narrow in shape as he locks in contact with Cola. His face is muscular as one would look upon his jaw, though unable to tell by his large stature, that we has as strong as an Ox. This whelp of childhood friend, who always got hurt, has grown into a strong young man. Sammy opened his arms and calls out with his loud deep voice, “welcome home Cola, I have not seen you in awhile, my friend. come in, come in please”. As he bows and motions with his right hand for Cola to enter the Palace. “For all await to see you, with great anticipation” Sammy reached his hand for Cola to take, they shook each others hands and gave a quick welcomed embrace. “The high counselor, Thalliah awaits you in the study, my friend,” Sammy said, with a booming strong voice and a broad smile across his face. “ She wants to speak with you first before the meeting is to commence.” Cola’s heart begins to race, upon the anticipated meeting with Thalliah the Wise. “Do you know what this meeting is about, Sammy?” Sammy smiles again, “You are probably in big trouble again! You were always a trouble maker, when we were young, my friend! And it would not surprise me one bit, if you were in big trouble this time as well!” Sammy lets out a short laugh at the expense of his childhood friend. As Sammy laughs, Cola’s mental picture of him being sent to his corner again, returns after all of these years
As they walk into the palace’s greeting hall, Cola gazed upon the magnificence of the masonry of the walls and floorings of this fantastic great hall. The flooring is of black and white marble, checkered in style, from one end to the other. The hall, is dressed with a mahogany and rune grand staircase running the center of the hall to the second story and a second stairway leading down. The walls are of white marble, a forth of the way up the twenty foot wall. Deep dark mahogany paneling, etched deep with gold Celtic knots made up rest of the way up wall, to the cathedral like ceiling. The ceiling is broad, made of white ash wood, with grand floral carvings along the expansive edges. The center of the ceiling is a painting of the stars of the heavens above, surrounded by gold etchings of the sun light shining. Outside of the golden bright, etched in Platinum, is boldly written and is also symbolical in meaning, Fore From Out of Chaos Comes Order. Across the ceiling are dragons, hand crafted and painted, acting as guardians of the Palace Keep.
As Cola and Sammy walked thru the great greeting hall the echoes of the foot steps resounds. They walk to the eastern wing, which is the Great Study Hall where the meeting is to take place. Sammy, leading the way, opens the sturdy solid mahogany Study Doors, which open inward.. As Cola walks past Sammy, who is now taunting Cola, as he whispers; “good luck my friend, you are going to need it.” Sammy, with an evil snicker, pulls the double doors closed. The doors make an echoing sound, as they latch closed.
Thalliah rises from her chair, at the far end of the room. “Come closer my child”, as she stood beckoning Cola closer. Cola walks slowly in anticipating of a butt chewing from something he may have done, unknowingly. As he walked into the room he can hear each and every step he makes, as they echo throughout the room. Cola stops short from where Thalliah stood, in front of her is a long mahogany table with swirling and chaotic gold etchings, within. Behind Thalliah are mahogany bookcases which made up the Aesopia library, with the same style bookcases that lines all of the walls of this great Hall. Thalliah was seated in her black dragon winged back chair. Cola bowed in respect to the wise one. “How are you feeling my child after your encounter with Jagex the Hutt?” as the sounds of many voices ushered from Thalliah pale red lips. Cola, with the best courage he could muster, said, “I’m doing well mighty Thalliah.” Thalliah arises from her chair and begins to smoothly walk, as if she was walking on air. As she reaches the left side of the massive table, she walked directly in front of Cola, where he was now standing. she reached out her right hand and places it upon Cola’s right shoulder, to bid him to arise. Cola now fully erect, facing Thalliah, he said, “I have failed you and the mission, fore I was unable to get close to Jagex the Hutt.” Thalliah smiled and said, “No, my young one, I didn’t expect you to get as close as you did, in the first place. You actually got close than anyone has ever gotten, to Jagex the Hutt. Therefore you were very successful.” As cola stood before Thalliah, he looked deep into the ageless Elvin sapphire blue eyes. As if seeking the truth of this meeting. As Thalliah walks smoothly again on thin air, Cola couldn’t see if she was, fore her royal blue silk dress drags the ground. What a striking gown Thalliah was wearing, a golden cuffing drapes the round of the neck of the flowing gown. Gold bands ballooned around the arms cuffs and a long golden train draping the ground as she walks. Not even the reflective white marble floor, would reveal her feet while walking. “Come with me young Cola for I have a few things to reveal to you before the High Counsel meets.” Cola looks at Thalliah, fore she is a beautiful Elvin woman, who has lived for over six thousand years, but doesn’t look a day over thirty! Thalliah has raven color hair that flows to the mid of her back. She is tall in stature for even an elf and thin as a rail, for a brisk wind could easily knock her over. Her milky white skin graces her beauty and out shines the beautiful long grown she is wearing. They stopped short of a mahogany shelving located south of the grand table.
“Cola, as you already know, I’m the only living Counsel member left, from the years gone by, making my vote in all meetings weighing the heaviest,” Thalliah said with a grin. “Through your hard determination and strong stubborn will, I must ask you again to undertake another mission of good will.” Thalliah leaned foreword, speaking softly, “the commission of this task that I’m about to give you, will not be easy. I pray to the gods, that you will be successful in completing such a dire task.” Cola just stood motionless as his heart began to race, as he already knew something bad was going to happen and it did, another task! As Thalliah was speaking her voice made the sounds of rushing waters, calming and alarming at the same time. “Cola, Thalliah says, “you must embark on this new journey to the north, beyond the sacred marble mountains . Once you are clear of the northern mountain range, you will travel east, following the rising sun for twenty days.” As Thalliah turns to her left, then pointing to a large, fine lamb skinned map, stretched onto a teak frame. She points to the eastern section of the known realm map, saying, “here is where you must go, to the great shadow white mountains. Atop of the summit of this great mount is a cavern burrowed deep within and is very well guarded by mythical creatures. These creatures that bar the entryway are very dangerous and it will take great skill to kill them, if you are not prepared for the encounter. For inside this massive cavern lies a labyrinth within, as it twists and turns at every point. Many have died within this great cavern, just trying to navigate it. For within this cave lies a prize amidst the labyrinth.”
Cola looked upon the great leather map, listening well to Thalliah’s warnings of the new task he is to complete. Cola began thinking, “I need a few people to take with me on this task, I won’t make it on my own. I must ask Thalliah once she is finished, if it was going to be permitted, But out of great respect I shall wait, until she is finished outlining my new task.” Thalliah continued in a now shushed voice, nearly a whisper as she comes even closer to Cola’s right ear. ‘At the center point of the great labyrinth within this great mount is a powerful throne, that awaits to grant its one power or wish to those who finds and sits upon the majestic throne.” Cola, now unable to contain himself asks, “how will I know what this throne will look like once I find it!” Thalliah smiles with lips now pursed, “ The Throne stands twenty feet in height and five feet in width. The throne itself is made of bone and ivory, edged in gold and platinum. Adorning the throne, are incrusted precious gems of sapphires, emerald, rubies and diamonds. The backing and seat of the throne is made of soft red dragon leather from the mother of all Red Dragons, Jacarria. The arms and base of the throne are made from the father of all Black Dragons, Thorious. The throne sits upon great blocks of white and gold marble, spanning fifty feet in width, edged in platinum. There are many black marble steps, also edged in platinum, leading to the throne, how many is unknown. Carved into the cavern walls between the powerful throne are two mighty griffins proudly guarding .” Thalliah continues saying, “Many have sought out this mythical throne and have indeed died trying. But the ancient texts that I have referenced, confirmed that the throne does indeed exist.”
Cola steps back from Thalliah, now thinking how long will this journey take and why must it be me who takes this journey in the first place. Cola now rubbing his chin tries to think his way out of this huge task! Thalliah begins to softly speak again, “Cola, it must be you, who makes this journey.” Cola, now taking aback by what Thalliah has said, as if she was reading his mind, “how did you know what I was thinking, Thalliah?” Cola asked. Thalliah said with a smile, “ I was not born a thousand years ago, you know. I can see it written allover your face.” Thalliah motions Cola to walk with her to the center of the hall saying, “This mission is so very important, I can not entrust anyone in Aesopia but you. You are the only one that I know, who will do what is right, when your journey comes to an end. Fore once you sit upon this ancient throne, you will be able to lift this terrible curse that was place on all miners, throughout world of Runescape. It’s you who I trust, to use the great power imbued within this mighty throne. I emphatically know that you will use this power selflessly and not for your own means.” Cola, now looking sickly from hearing of this overwhelming task, takes on a new color of green fore which none has ever seen in this land before.
Cola and Thalliah turn towards the doors as they both heard them open, as Ahma Lyre appears in a gorgeous flowing emerald green and white gown. Oh, what a stunning sight to behold, for Ahma’s creamy light skin and emerald green eyes flows beautifully with her appearance. Ahma’s fiery red hair tightly bound in a golden net, off sets her overall appearance. Ahma had a clear crystal container within her grasp. In the center of this container, is a gem that is suspended by an unseen force, as the gem is whirling with red and black mists within. Ahma gave the crystal container to Thalliah as they both move to the eastern end of the study. Thalliah and Ahma sat in the center two of the four black dragon leather Wingback throne like chairs. Cola moves closer to the grand mahogany table encrusted with gold the two sit behind. As they sit, they whisper to one another, before the High Counsel is to commence. Again the great solid double doors to the study open. Ah, in walks his old friend Dawn, now wearing a flowing red gown as the train of the dress drapes the floor. She is also a sight to behold, she smiles at Cola as her emerald green eyes lock upon her old friend. She too has auburn hair, flowing to the golden neck cuff of her dress. Her light olive skin enhances her beautiful ruby red silk dress, just off setting her own beauty. Dawn Stars walks gracefully to her seat, upon the high counsel chair on the outer right side, behind the grand table. After a few minutes of time has passed the three begin talking to one another. The only thing Cola could make out was “Where in gods names is she! She is always late and making these meetings last longer than they should!“ Just as the squabbling had started, the double doors open and in walks Marigold Acorina, as she sweeps through the grand counsel study. Marigold Acorina was dressed in a white flowing silk gown draping the ground. Her beautiful blue eyes almost hypnotic upon a quick lance, her black raven hair hangs down to the mid of her back, as she quickly passes Cola by, and saying to Thalliah, “I’m sorry for my tardiness, I was in the middle of an experiment of a cross pollination, but the results can wait, until the meeting is over.” Thalliah nodded, in response to the given excuse.
“Cola”, Thalliah calls him in her many voices, “step foreword.” Cola walks within a few feet from the High Counsel’s table. Thalliah then said in a clam even voice, “Cola, the High Counsel is in agreement, your last encounter with Jagex the Hutt was indeed successful, fore none has ever seen what he looks like. Jagex has a great power of teleportation and usually disappears before anyone can get close enough to catch a glance of him. Therefore, you were successful.” They all nodded in unison in agreement. Thalliah continued, “Being that Jagex the Hutt will not willing remove the curse that he place on all miner of the land,, I and the Counsel believe you are to be commissioned for a quest of perilous danger. Your quest is to seek out and find the Great Throne of the Ages. From upon the Throne you are to use the great power to remove the curse.” Cola, finding that new shade of green upon his face again, said, “I thank the Counsel for intrusting with such a great task, but I do not feel well equip to handle such a journey. I’m but one man and a craftsman at that. How am I able to complete such a daunting task by myself.”
The Counsel Members turn to one another and begin speaking. Cola tried his hardest to hear what they were saying, but could not make it out. After a few minutes, the Counsel return their attention back to Cola. Thalliah now states in her many voices, “Cola of the Crusader Tribe, you will be given a team to go with you on your journey to the northeast shadow lands. The Counsel will hand pick them for you based upon ones character and strengths. Once the team is picked, you will begin your journey north.” Thalliah, now standing said, “Cola, your heart is pure and you hands are without blood upon them, this task will test your inner being.” Thalliah continues, “But, I Thalliah, am in agreement with you. You are not ready to embark such a great task as of this magnitude in your present state.” This task comes with a consequence. Fore this will injure your spirit. Cola Crusader your pure heart and your true nature is innocent. Therefore you will need inner help from the Crusaders of old to aid in this task.” Thalliah, then picked up the crystal container with the suspended gem inside and places it upon the table. “Cola, do you know what is inside of this container?” Cola shook his head no, unable to speak. Thalliah stated, “This container contains all of the violence of the Crusader family past, notice the mists of red and black that swirls within the gem. Red is the blood the was spilt by the countless lives that were taken by the Crusader families hands. The black represents the coldness of the heart and evil within,” Thalliah explained. “I do not give this to you without full knowledge what this may do to you, my dear Cola Crusader. But, you will require all of you families knowledge and strengths that is within the gem. This is a needed requirement to be successful in this journey.”
Thalliah still standing says to Cola, “Kilgore Crusader came to me when he first entered Aesopia. He asked me five thousand years ago, to remove the blood from upon his hands and the coldness from his heart. To take away from him all of the pain and anguish he held within him, for it was passed down from father to son through the ages. Kilgore Crusader begged me to remove this and to give him peace.” Thalliah sighs, “ I will place a spell upon the powers within this gem, to protect you my dear Cola. But, the spell is limited as to what it can do. This spell will keep you from being over powered by the ancient magic, so you will not fall under total control of the strong powers within.”
Thalliah picked up the clear canister and walked around the table, moving directly in front of Cola. She lifts the container above her head and begins to chant. The sounds coming from Thalliah was unintelligible and was forgotten as it was spoken and her voice resonated as of the sounds of many raging rivers as she chanted. The gem within the container began to glow brighter and brighter until the whole room was enveloped in a shimmering bright light, with every passing moment of the ceremony. Then nearing the end of the rushing chant, the study became a blinding ball of white light as it began to swirl and spin as if the whole room was caught in a vortex. Swirling tighter and smaller then disappear into the gem.
Cola now rubbing his eyes from the blinding white light, attempts to look upon the gem. Cola noticed that the gem not only had the red and black mist swirling within, but also a swirling mists of white light. “Cola,” Thalliah said, “The white light within the gem will protect you from being over come by the evil and will bring balance to you inner being. But, forever will you tormented by this power from within, for your heart is pure.” On eve of the mission you are to place this canister upon your families alter. When the midnight moon overshadows your ancient home, remove the gem. As the moon become full, hold the gem tight against your heart. After placing the gem over your heart, simply chant, “Return To Me, My Heart of Hearts.”” Thalliah handed Cola the canister and said, “Do not take this lightly Cola Crusader, for the spirit of your family that lies within this gem is bloody and evil to its core. If not for my white power of light of love and harmony, you would be lost to your Crusader Families raging blood forever, for this alone I can not allow to be. Once you return from this great task, I will remove this heavy burden from your heart, for it will pain you to carry within.” Trust me Cola, you don’t want this murderous heart of hearts for the rest of your natural born life.
Kilgore entrusted me with his heart spirit, so he would be able to live out his life in peace and love of all humanity. Guilt free of his past and that of his ancient families past as well. For this spirit is so very strong and took me weeks to recover after removing the spirit of the Crusaders past as it had passed down through a great number of generations. For this blood lust of killing is greatly over powering and the evil within the gem solidify Crusaders spirit and requires the Crusader’s family to fill this hunger for blood, fore which calls to them. This spirit is a killing spirit out for blood and will kill anything within sight guilt free. But, with my greatest of hope, this glimmer of light that I had imbued within the gem, will give you the add strength of love of life, to help and aide you to hold back this killing spirit. Fore it will act as a form of balance within your very soul. fore it the power within this gem is wild and free, but its hunger to kill needs to be fed. My dearest Cola of the Crusader Tribe, I‘m sadden fore what I’m about to ask of you, for the need is indeed great, but it’s so very much needed for the great task we have commissioned you with. For the power within the gem will release all of your families strengths of the skills of fighting and knowledge of great warring strategies that will keep you and your team alive for this task.”
Cola, now feeling again overwhelmed by the given task, says, “when will I know when it’s time for me to begin my journey to the northeast and who will be joining me on this task?” Again, Thalliah says with her voices of rushing water, “I will call you into audience when the time has come. For now, feel at ease your commissioned task has not come as of yet, so be content for the moment. For now you will be given a few day of rest, for now my young Cola, return to your home, for the day of the High Counsels calling will come soon enough.”
