After Cola met with High Counsel and meeting had concluded, Cola feet fell heavy upon the marble floor. With each step he made, echoes resounded throughout the study. The solid mahogany double doors opened allowing Cola to exit room, with Commander Redbeard on the other side. “What happened in there, Cola?” Sammy Redbeards ask, as Cola Pass thru the double doors. Cola smiled and said, “it’s only a little things that get me the most! I must be on my way home, fore I’m sure my kitchen full of dry goods, that was dropped off earlier by Ricken.” Sammy smiled and nodded, “Don’t let the little things get to you Cola. You will live longer,“ Cola smiled as he passed by Sammy in the Greeting Hall. After a taking a few step away from Sammy, being to leave the Great Hall, Cola hear the many voices of Thalliah, beckoning for Sammy to enter the study. Cola turned his head to look back at Sammy with a smile and said, “Good luck, I hope your meeting goes better than mine did!” Sammy face that was once a full of smiles, now tuned to stone the very moment his name was called from the High Counsel Study.
Cola left the palace with his glass container, which held the Crusaders family spirit contained within the gem and returned home to settle in for the night.
The meeting itself only felt as if an hour had passed, but as walk outside of palace walls, the sun had already dip beyond the western horizon. as the evening settled in. As Cola begins he descent from the Keep, he his eyes begins to wander across the evening sky as he searches the constellations they slowly come into view, twinkling and slightly shining southeastern skies. As Cola’s mind began to wander, as if looking for the answers in the stars in the heaven above, “Why me?” He asks himself. He knew the job was not complete when Jagex failed to appear on the battle field. Cola knew deep within his sorrowful heart, that he need to see this task through. Even though he was given this commissioned task by the High Counsel as second chance, he still felt as if he had failed them all. Even though the past chain of events were completely out of his hands. But, give this new commissioned task, Cola felt as if destiny was on his side this time and completion of this mission was more with in his grasp. “Yes“, he thought to himself, “this time I’m control. I can become victorious and I will complete my commissioned task, I swear it!”
Sammy walked into the High Counsel Study looked on to what appears as the four High Counselors were deliberating between themselves As Sammy approaches the long gold engraved mahogany table, Dawn Stars told Sammy to hold his standance where he was and to take a few steps back. Sammy thought to himself, “this is way out of character of the High Counsel. And to hold a meeting this late into the evening. Plus, to be requested to stand before them, this was damn irregular.” Sammy Redbeard was out of earshot range from the High Counselor and was unable to hear what the high counsel was saying. Sammy Redbeards eye fell upon Marigold Acorina as she began to write feverously on a parchment as if making some form of a list. Then Sammy then notices Dawn Stars and Ahma Lyre began to write as well. Thalliah then turned her attention to Sammy and said, “gather your most trusted Wind Riders for we have deliveries to be made this very night and needs to be complete before the setting sun tomorrow. For time is running against us and we have much to do within a short time period.”
Sammy bowed and said, “As you wish Madam High Counselor, Is there anything else that you would require of me this evening?” Thalliah Said, in a voice sounding of a rushing water crashing against the rocks in a stream, “Gather and sending forth your six Wind Riders who will be given Commissioned Letters outside of the bonds and safety of Aesopia. Once this task has been completed, you will return to stand before the High Counsel once again. Fore I have a new task for you to complete. But, for now, get your messengers ready to take flight, this very evening. Sammy bowed once more and said to Thalliah, “As you wish Madam High Counselor.” Sammy the turned around and left the grand study.
Commander Sammy Redbeard returned to the greet hall and called forth one of the guards, who stood at his station near the antechamber door to the northeastern wing of the Palace, “Soldier,” Commander Redbeard bark out, “find Captain Slader this very moment and tell him to report to me in the Greeting Hall. Post Haste!”, Commander Redbeards instructed. After a few minutes had pasted, Captain Slader exited from the northeastern Antechamber into the Greeting Hall, Walking quite briskly to stood before his Commander. The captain had stop short a few paces in front of Commander Redbeard, in the position of attention. Then Captain Slater saluted Commander Redbeard. Captain Slader, who was small in stature, even for a half-elf, stood before and was over towered by Commander Sammy Redbeard, as he has to look up to see his Commanders face. “Captain Steed Slader reporting as ordered Commander.“ Captain Slater stated as quickly as he could in a single breathe. “Captain Slader,” Command Redbeard ordered, “You are in charge of the Wind Riders and the Keeps outer wall Guard, yes?” Captain Slater barked out “Yes sir, I‘m in charge of both of those divisions.” “Captain, I need six of your fastest Wind Riders to make ready for deliveries this very moment. You will have them stand ready in the Keeps Courtyard. Then you are to return to the Greet Hall and await your orders. Your Wind Riders may be required to return with their assigned person, fore whom they are being sent for.” Commander Redbeard continued, “We have a lot to do, in a short span of time, report back to me once the Wind Rider have been assembled. for I will have more tasks needed to be completed as the High Counsel deliberates throughout the evening. Captain Slater nodded as to confirming his orders that he had just received. Captain Slater again saluted and hurried back to the northeastern Antechamber of the Greeting Hall without saying a word.
Thalliah and Ahma arose from their chairs and walk to northern end of the study, standing in front of the marble hearth. Thalliah motions with her hands and spoke a few inaudible words and the heath became ablaze with a white hot fire began to burn yew logs within. Ahma smiled and said, “I love it when you do that, I only wish I had the power to bring forth fire.” Thalliah smiled, “to tell you the truth, I love doing it as well. But, for now, who do we send commissioned letter to this eve? Ahma smiled, “Well apparently I would like to send Dawn Stars out on this mission to represent the high counsel.” Thalliah, nodded in agreement, “she would be my first choice as well. She is indeed well trained and strong willed, meaning that Dawn will complete any task without question.” I would also send Commander Sammy Redbeard as well,” Thalliah said, “that should top off the three with physical prowess.” Ahma looked at Thalliah in confusion, “who was the third, I only counted two?” Thalliah smiled and said, “We just sent him home to get some rest, Cola.” “Thalliah, Cola is a good Commander and is very strong willed. But, I don’t think we should send him in the capacity as the third warrior.” as Ahma says in a hushed voice. Thalliah smile disappears and was replaced with a sadness, ‘You have no idea what we are about to unleash within Cola Crusader. I’m already regretting this course of action, but I must be done.”
Dawn rises from her seat and approaches Thalliah and Ahma Lyre, handing her a list of potential people to send on this mission. Dawn smiles, “I believe this should help.” The three look back a the table where Marigold Acornia was sitting, still writing and making her own list. Thalliah turned her attention back to Dawns parchment as reads down the list. “This will be fine for the moment, we will need to wait for Marigold to complete her list and then we shall go from there.” Dawn nodded and retuned to her High Counsel seat. After a few moments has past, Marigold Acornia, rises from her seat and walks to the warming blaze within the hearth and gave her list of people for the task to Thalliah. Thalliah look thru the list and smiled, “Well at least we are in agreement for the most part on who we are going the send, in aid to Cola.” Dawn quickly rises and joins the three by the marble hearth, “really, well then, I do believe a small group would be wise. They will go unnoticed, as they pass the northern region.” Dawn Said. “We will send the people that are a match from both lists.” Thalliah said, “plus an additional two, who are not listed on either your parchments.” Thalliah smiled as she motioned them back to the counsels table. Dawn looked at Thalliah and Ahma, “who are the two the two not listed, that we going to send?” Marigold smiled and said, “They are going to send you and Commander Redbeards.” Dawn looks back at Marigold Acorina, ’I hate it when you do that! Can you not spy on other peoples minds, especially those of us apart of the High Counsel!” I could, but that would not be as much fun,” Acornia says with a playful smile. “Alright you two,” Thalliah said, That will be enough from the both of you! But, Acorina is correct Dawn, you and Commander Sammy Redbeards will accompany this assembly, to seek out the Throne of Power.”
As for the list, we need to add a magical temperance to the team, as well as keen sense hunting and tracking. With You, Cola and Sammy we will have our physical combat strength. ” Wait,” Dawn said, “Cola is not, by any means combative, he can hunt and track better than anyone I have seen. He is also able lead an army, due to his strategy and battle plan tactical mindset , but that is it! But, in no way is Cola combative in the physical sense!” “Dawn,” Thalliah now whispers, “in a few days time, Cola’s true nature will come into being. You have no idea what he will be capable of doing. His true strengths will emerge into the light. So, for now, feel comfort in knowing, Cola will be more than match for any obstacle that may stand in the path of our quest!”
The four returned to the High Counsel table to be seated once more, with Thalliah carrying both lists with her. Thalliah places both lists side by side on the table and says, “Ahma, lets get stared with the commissioning letters.” Ahma calls forth into the wind as parchments, a bright red quill with blacken veins running through it and seal appears before her on the mahogany table. Ahma picks up the quill with her right hand as it becomes as ablaze. Fore the quill is from a tail feather of the phoenix. As Ahma begins writing, the words begin to burn into the parchment with each stroke. Smoke to arise from the parchment as she writes the first letter of Commission Letter:
Dawn Stars,
You are here by Commissioned to take part of a mission of the utmost importance. You are to stand before the High Counsel to begin the quest for the Throne of Power. Upon the Completion of the said task, you shall be greatly rewarded. You are to report to the Marble Palace before the next full moon. Be prepared and ready to leave on the eve of that said date.
Ahma Lyre
High Counsel
When Ahma finished writing she fold the parchment into thirds, then pick up a thick stick of red wax. As Ahma extends her left hand fingers, the end of the wax stick begin to glow red. As the heat intensifies, the wax begins to melt onto the parchment, thus sealing it across the center fold edge. The Ahma picks up the High Counsel seal and stamps the seal into the melt pool of wax, sealing the parchment closed. Ahma, with a crooked a smile, then turn to look at Dawn with the letter in hand, “Here sweetie, you are the first!” Dawn, with eyes turning Dragon Green, as if throwing darts at Ahma, saying, “Oh, very funny! Fine, let get on with it! We still have a list of people to contend with yet, plus what strengths each will bring with them to this gathering!” Dawn said with distain. “Are you being a little snippy, Dawn Stars?” Thalliah said softly. Dawn sat back in her chair with a huff, with her letter still in her hands, “No madam Counselor, I just didn’t find it funny! Dawn said in a pouting manner, “It’s just that I was to be given a Commissioned letter, when I already knew that was to be apart of this quest anyways.” Thalliah smiled, “your abjection is so noted, let us get started with the list.”
Thalliah studied both lists and says slowly, “Well, the first not in present company, will be Bellawren. She is strong with the magical power of fire and air, she will be needed for this quest. Are we all in agreement with Bella being apart of the quest?“ Each of the members nod in agreement as she looked for their approval. Ahma began fury write as she engraves the next Commission Letter. Thalliah again studies the list. “Ok,” Thalliah says cautiously, I believe Maxi Trouble would be a good choice due to her power over fire and earth, as well as Minminpu who has the power over the air, archery and she has great knack for agility. I believe both bring great number of talent to the table. Are we a in agreement for the both of these nominees Ahma and Dawn both nodded, but Marigold sat back in her chair pondering over the selected people. “Is there something we need to discuss Marigold Acorina“, Thalliah ask gently. Marigold Acorina sat up, looks down to the end of the Counsel table and said, “I’m not sure Minminpu would be willing to join the expedition. She has lived on Ape toll for some time now and she has not been in contact with the Counsel for some time now.” As for Maxi, her last name spells it out. Plus she is very headstrong and rap up into creating new magic’s. I don’t think she would be a good choice for this task, even though she is obligated to serve. I think she will make trouble for the whole group! Being she is very strong willed, her way or not at all!” Thalliah stood up and walk around counsel table and began to slowly pacing the floor. She stopped for a moment, then gaze at the three counselors seated at the table and says, “give them commission letters. Acornia your objection is so noted, but I believe they both will be a great asset to the team. I must look at the over success of this quest and being that Dawn is going on the mission, I believe she can squash any problems that arises.”
Ahma began to feverish write out Commission letters for Maxi Trouble and Minminpu. Thalliah returned to her seat at the table, “Ahma, don’t forget to write one for Commander Sammy Redbeards as well. This will bring the count to five, plus Cola making six. We need two more to round out the group to eight. This will give us the strength we need for the success of the quest.” Thalliah picked up the list and sat back in her chair, think over who be the last two who would be best for the over all team. Again, Thalliah stood up from her chair with both lists in her hands and walk over to the hearth. She walked slowly of to the blazing hearth and throws both lists into the fire. As she threw them, Thalliah spoke, as her voice resounded as many water falls clash upon the rocks below, speaking words into the wind, uttering a spell into the fire. As the fire rose higher and turned fiery white and green hued light, the edges of the parchments began to burn. In the very center of the parchments a name from each list became a blaze as the red and black flames spelled each of the names out, as Thalliah spoke. “Ahma“, she said, “The fates has decided, Phillipes Sylaire and Amalakiah shall be apart of the quest.” Three looked on in amazement as Thalliah spoke. Ahma began writing her last two commission letters and place them at the end of the table.
Thalliah pick up six commission letters and held them close to her bosoms, “Oh Mighty God, give us the strength and endurance to be victorious in this quest and to bring back the balance, we all so very much needed in this world of Runescape.” within moments, of Thalliah saying her prayer to the gods, the letters lit up in a bright blue light, then died down. “Our list is indeed complete. Marigold, will you please bring in Commander Redbeard, into the chamber. Marigold Acornia, arose from her chair and walk across the study, exiting and closing the double doors behind her.
After a few moments have pasted, Marigold Acornia retuned into the Study Chamber with Commander Sammy Redbeard in tow. Marigold returned to her counsel seat and Commander Redbeard stood in front of the High Counsel table. “Commander Redbeard, are your Wind Riders ready for travel?” Thalliah said sternly. “We are ready and waiting on your word Madam High Counselor.” he said in a strong deep booming voice. “Very well, I have five commission letters to be sent out immediately”, Thalliah motions Sammy closer to take the letters from her possession. Sammy looks and counts the letters in his hands, “Madam Counselor, you have miscounted, there a six letters in my hands.” “No, Thalliah says softly, “My young Commander, I have not miscounted. One of those commission letters belong to you” Commander Redbeard took a step back with a look of shock on his face, “I will be going on this expedition, Madam High Counselor?” Yes, Thalliah said, “You will have Captain Slader fill in as the Home Guard Commander until you return. In the mean time, You will send forth your riders to deliver the Commission Letters and await their answers from each of the people we send for. If necessary, the riders may have use force to bring them back with them, upon refusal of the commission orders. Is that understood Commander” Commander Redbeard nodded, unable to speak, for he too was being forced to go on this quest.
In a low hushed voice, Sammy asks, “where do we find these five people, if I may inquire?” “Take note Commander,” Thalliah said firmly, “Fore I do know that you are feeling that I have put you in harms way. But I need you to go on this mission. I believe with your strength and abilities, you will help bring this quest full circle and we will be successful. This will not be an easy task. No, it will be very dangerous quest indeed. But, I believe you and the team will win the day. So take heart, it will be through all of your and the assembled teams efforts we will become successful. As for locating our commissioned team:
“Maxi Trouble can be found north of Seers Village. she has a small cottage in the Maple Forest.”
“Minminpu can be found south of Ape toll. Her a home near the mahogany groves. But, you will probably finder training on the Agility Course on the island.”
“Bella Wren has a home beach in catherby. She may be found fishing at any one of the fishing points in Catherby.”
“Phillipes Sylaire has a home in northwest of Faldor. But you will may find him in the caves of Taverly looking for baby blue dragon scales.”
“Amalakiah will be the hardest to find. For he wears the White Crown of Power and he can teleport anywhere in the world of Runescape.
“Take this,” as Thalliah waves her hands, a small orange tracking gem appears in her right palm, “this gem will guide your Wind Ride close to where Amalakiah is located.”
“For now, my young friend,” Thalliah said, “Lets get these letters out, for time is running against us. We have only four days before the full moon rises.” Commander Sammy Redbeard bowed before the High Counsel, he then turns around and leaves the High Counsel Study.
Sammy walked into the Greeting Hall and found Captain Slander standing by main double entry doors. “Are my Wind Rider ready to go Captain Slater,” Sammy yelled out. “Yes Commander,” Captain Slater replied, “We have six riders ready to go in the courtyard.” As Sammy approaches Captain Slader, “We only have need of five rider tonight, follow me out!” Both Captain Slader and Commander Redbeard walk out of the palace and into the courtyard, where the six rider stood in wait on their mounts. Each of the riders were wearing black dragon leather armor, black riding cloaks adorned with gold trim and black leather riding boots. The steeds were outfitted with silver charger winged head masks and silver bridles. The saddles were made of hardened black dragon leather, which glistened in the star light and is studded in silver. Captain Slader marched over to the rider on the far right side. He dismissed the sixth rider and instructed him to return stalls. Commander Redbeard walk up to each of the five riders and handed each of them a Commissioned letter with the noted instruction of the addressee current location, save one. The last rider was given the small orange locator gem and was instructed as to how the gem is used. The closer rider is to the selected object or person the brighter the gem glowed. This is the only way the rider will able to find Amalakiah. When Commander Redbeard had finished passing of the letters and gave them their orders, he moved to the n front of the riders, walked back to the steps, then stood upon the second step of the Greeting Hall. Commander Sammy Redbeard addressed the Wind Riders, “We have only four days to locate and bring back your assigned person. That is your mission. If you fail to bring them back with you or they fail come on their own accords by way of teleportation, there will be hell pay for failing to follow my orders! Do you understand me?” In unison, the riders yell back, “Yes Sir.” After a few moments of silence the commander order them to move out.
The riders turned their mounts and headed toward the south Keeps gate. The Commander and the Captain followed the riders out of the gate and across the moat draw bridge. The Commander called out one last time, “Time is short, Wind Riders, Ride!” The riders bring their black steeds to a quick gallop on the southern slop of Aesopia keep. The steed begin to break into a run as they snorted, fire flew from the nostrils. With beat of their hooves as they struck the earth, hooves began to glow white. Within moment, the stallions were running at full strength. The steeds heart kept pace with the each beat the hooves landed upon the ground. The faster the stallions ran, the less the Commander could hear hooves beat against ground. Within seconds the stallions and their riders were air born, running in motion, while fly at a speed, that a red dragon couldn’t catch. For the steeds shoes of flight is what enables the stallions to fly at great lengths and speeds. Moments past as the Commander stared on, he then saw five burst of fiery red light as it ignited and streak against the evening sky. The five balls of fires moving a great speed they left a trail of fire in the air heading south. As Commander watched the five rider streak across the evening sky, they began to split off from one another, slightly varied, but still moving southeastern direction. As the seconds had pasted, the riders were no longer in sight. Commander Sammy Redbeard whispered into the wind, “God Speed, Wind Riders, God Speed.”
Bella Wren
“It’s such a beautiful morning,” Bella thought as she pulls a craft of orage juice from her teak larder. Bella pull a glass from her cupboard and pours the juice, filling the glass to the top. She place the craft back into the larder and walks from her kitchen into her dinning room. Bella smiled as she drinks he cool glass of juice. She walks over to her gold etched mahogany dinning as she runs her right hand over the smooth surface of the table as she takes a seat on her bench. As she finished her glass of orange juice, she leaned back in her gold etched bench, thinking she worked so hard to make such a beautiful set of furniture. After a few minutes had pasted, she got up from her table and walk past the dinning table and her marble fire place, until she reaches her window. She open wide her red curtains and tied them back to allow the light shine and fill the dinning room. Bella peers out her windows looking upon the beautiful blue cloudless sky. She looks out upon the surf, noticing the waves were only were only two to three feet high. Bella thought to herself this was the perfect morning for fishing. She opened here window to allow a slight breeze fill room with the fresh smells of the salt from the sea. Bella finished her glass of juice and returned to the kitchen to place the glass into her sink. She walks over to the northeast corner of her kitchen and retrieved her fishing rod and bucket of bait, were she had left it the night before.
She left her cottage, closing the door be hind her and walk down a small bluff, onto beach. As Bella was across the sand, she always loved the feel of the fine sand squish between her toes. She reached the soft wet sand at the edge of the surf and places the bucket of bait down upon the ground, then leaned the fishing pole upon the bucket. Bella reaches inside the backet and pull out an achove and hookes it to the end of her line. With a straight back host with her fishing rod, she cast her baited line out and into the sea. “That was an excellent cast. if I don’t say so myself,” she thought. Bella took the butt end of her rod and stuck it deep into the sand so that she didn’t want to hold the rod allday. She surveyed the beach and noticed that she had the whole beach to her self this morning. Bella smiled, “It about time,” she thought, but she also knew by noon the whole beach will be coverd with people. Making fishing nolong restful active and turning it into a competetion.
After an hour had passed, Bella had caught two flounders and hooked a tuna. Not bad, she thought, for being out on the beach for a short time. “Awe man, look, here they come,” she said aloud, “the noobs. Well, I did catch my fill for few days of food, no need of be greed, besides, I don’t feel like competing today. It’s such a wonderful day and I would hate to ruin it.” Bella be gan to pack up her gear and bait to return home, when she noticed a black rider and his horse riding upon the beach. The rider was heading in her general direction, “what nerve!” Bella thought, “I will give him a piece of my mind,” for horses were not allowed onto the Catherby beach. As the rider came closer, she noticed that the rider kept looking down upon a scap of parchment and was gazing upon the people on the beach. After a few moments, the rider came to a full stop in front of Bella.
Bella looked up to the rider on his black steed and said to him, “You know to are not allowed to ride your horse on the Catherby Beaches. You are going to have to leave!”
The rider just gazed upon Bella, mumbling as if reading from a list. “Long blonde hair, sea blue eyes, fair skin, small in stature and a half-elf.” The rider said to himself. “Excues me, by any chance, are you Bella Wren?” the Rider ask. Bella looked upon the rider trying to size him up and though, he would not dare try to do anything out in the public and in broad day light! After a few moments of silence, the Rider dismounted from his stallion and approached Bella.
“You are Bell Wren are you not? You match the discription to a perfectly!” the Rider said with confedance. Bella look to her left then to right, looking for a direction to run. He she couldn’t, her heart began to race. Bell thought he would get her if she tried to make a run for it! “Damn it,” she thought, “I hate it that I’m unarmed!” As the Rider moved foreward, Bella heart began to sink as her blood runs hot from the anxiety of the moment. As the rider took another step foreword, he reached inside his cloak to pull something out. By this point, Bella Wren was already into action. In a single action, Bella waved her hands and the bait bucket levitated from the ground at a great rate of speed to height of the head of the rider. With a flick of her right hand, she moved the bait bucket foreword at an accelerated speed and hitting the rider in the head. Within seconds, Bella began speaking into the wind and her hands became a blaze of fire. between both of her blazing hands, she held a large ball of fire. The rider had stumbles back from the glancing blow to his head, then fell to the ground on his back. Bella, still holding the ball of fire, she walk up to the rider who was now the ground, said, “I believe you need to leave before you get hurt!” The rider put up his hand trying to fend off the heat from the fire ball and manages to yell out, “Wait, stop! Don’t release the fire ball upon me! I’m a Wind Rider of the High Counsel of Aesopia. I have a Commissioned letter to deliver to you!”
Bell took a step back, still holding the fire ball in an attack posture, “Prove it or die!” Bella screamed out. The Rider look at Bella and said, “let me reach into my cloak for the letter, I promise, I’m not here to harm you!” The reached into his cloak pull out a folded parchement, then extends his hand to give to Bella. She dismissed the fireball and disappeared and the fire that had enveloped her hands had gone as well. Bella still didn’t trust the rider and quickly grabs the letter from his hand. She turn the letter over and looks upon the seal of the letter, still keeping one eye on the rider who bled profusely from his head wound. Bella recognized the seal to be of the High Counsel, she then loosened her attack her poasture. “Ok,” Bella said with a stearn voice, “get up and leave! You have done your job, now leave me in peace.” “Madam Bella Wren,” the Rider said, “I’m not allowed to leave your site until you have read your letter and have given me an answer.” Bella broke the seal on the letter and began to read it. After a few minutes, she dropped her arms and swore to the heavens above, “I’m supposed to be in retirement!” She yelled. Bella walked slowly to the waters edge as the Rider looked on. After a few of the waves had crashed and rolled upon her feet, she turned towards the rider, “I will go, but not with you!” Bella said firmly, “I will meet with the High Counsel in two days time. I give you my word.” The Rider looks upon Bella, mumbling something, as if hold something back. “What is your name rider?” Bella ask. “Timons”, the rider answerd. “Madam Bella, I’m ordered to bring you back with me. How will you arrive to the High Counsel in two days time?” Bella reached inside her tan silk blouse and pulled out a platinum madallion with a dragon stone in the center. “With this,” Bella said, “this medallion will teleport me directly to the Aesopia Keep. Will that be good enough for you?” Timons looked closely upon the medallion and saw the Aesopian seal upon the crest. “Yes, that will due. I will enform Commander Redbeard of your intentions of reporting to the High Counsel in two days time. But, mark my words, if you fail to report in two days, there will be hell to pay for missing the date.”
“Ok Timons, you had your say, now leave. I have a lot of work to do in a short time period.” The rider grabs the reines of his steed and places right foot in the stirrup and mounts his stallion once again. He pulls the reines to the left and turns his steed around. The rider brought hi stallion to gallup heading northward. As Bella looked on as the horse begins to run and became air borne. Bella walk over to pick up here baite bucket and fishing rod off of the ground, then began to walk to her cottage on the bluff in silence.
Maxi Trouble
“Now, where did I put that scroll?” Maxi muttered to herself, as she goes thru her home library. She quickly opens her tomes and scrolls to read the headings, but no avail. Maxi sat back in her mahogany red cushioned chair, thinking, I could have sworn I had that scroll back in this case! She pick up a brush that was sitting on the side table next to her chair and began stroking her beautiful long raven black hair. More a stress reliever than anything else for Maxi. After a few minutes of brushing, she began retracing her steps in her mind. The Crevice Maul Scroll must be still in my basement work area. “That was the time I had used that spell to imbue an earth staff,” Maxi spoke aloud. She arose from her chair and began to leave her small library room, when she heard, “You my dear friend would lose your head, if it were not attached to your body!” ‘Oh shut up you,” Maxi replied to her orange with red jagged striped Hell Cat, named Mini Trouble. Maxi said, “you be luck if I remember to feed you. You sorry excuse for a cat!” As her fat and lazy hell cat rounded the corner of the libraries open door. “You wouldn’t dare, I know where you sleep, you witch!” the cat said, “And besides that, I’m probably the only friend you have Maxi!” “Oh shut up, you stupid cat,” Maxi said, “I have a lot of friends, just not here in Varrock!” Maxi manages to crack a smile as she left the library, “You know you can be replace!”
Maxi entered the greeting hall and headed down the stairway, down to her basement work area. As she opens the teak door to her laboratory, the door resisted her efforts. “Open up you stupid door.” Maxi remarked, “the Pass word, is Cat Scratch, ok!” The door opens on its own accord to allow Maxi entry into her work shop. Maxi’s work room was large in size and did contain a lot of expensive components and supplies, wands, staves, amulets, rings, tomes and scrolls. For that reason alone, she place a magical spell lock over the only entry to her laboratory. The room was dark as she whisper in to the wind, “illuminate” and all of the candles and torches in the room lit up and became a blaze. “That’s much better,” Maxi said as she smiled and entered the room. On all of the walls in her room were oak cabinets anchored into the stone walls. Under the oak cabinets were oak work tables. In the center of the room was a long steel work table with glass jars and lit candles on top. To the north of the center work table is a mahogany reading table with two wide round candles on each end and scrolls scatter on top. And padded teak chair pushed into the reading desk.
She passed thru the door and walk over to her steel table, loaded with jars of resins of every type. She opens a secondary set of drawer in the table and shuffles thru the many parchments within, again the scroll was not there! She walk around the table to the reading table and opened the side drawers. Again, nothing. Maxi was just about to loose her temper, when she opened the bottom drawer and there it was. “My god, finally. It’s always in the last place you look in!” Maxi said aloud. She smiled, then opened the scroll and began reading it to her self. “You know Maxi, you really need to start working on that anger issue you have or you will end up blowing up this house too! Just like the last time.” The hell cat smuggle remarked, then began licking his paws. “who asked you anyways! And by the way, didn’t I tell you many times all ready, that you are not allowed in my work shop!” The hell cat ignored her as she continued to clean herself.
Maxi got up out her chair and walk over to her northern cabinet and began searching through the different jars. Still holding the open scroll in her left hand, she read the first ingredient, abyssal clay. So, she shuffled and moved the jars around until she found the black jar marked Abyssal Clay, “well that was easy enough” she thought, as she pick up the jar and walks over to the steel table in the center of the room. She sets the jar down and began reading again. The hell cat hissed, “There is somebody at your front door Maxi!” “Well, tell him to go away, I’m busy,” Maxi said as she continued reading. The hell cat disappeared and then reappeared on upon top of her steel table, “I can’t talk to him, I can only talk to you. But, the gentleman at the door looked official. He is wearing black dragon armor with a black riding cape. Plus, he is a half-elf!” the Mini said. “Half-elf, there are no half-elves in Varrock, except me.” Maxi said. “None the less Maxi, there is one still pounding on your front door and looks like he is getting agitated.” Mini said. Maxi huffed, “I have a lot work to do and I’m in the middle of something at the moment.” “Oh please! Mini replied, “You haven’t even started anything yet, who are trying to fool!” Maxi sneered at the cat saying, “Fine”, as she slammed her fist on the table. “I swear, this had better be important or turn him into pile of mud and superheat him!”
Maxi left the table and walk out the laboratory, closing the door behind her. She walk up the stairway up to the main greeting hall in her home. Mini followed behind Maxi and began rubbing herself against the stairway top post. Maxi walk to her solid teak door and open it to find the dragon clad young man sitting on her porch. “what is that want messenger boy,” Maxi said snidely, “I have a lot of work to do and you are holding me up.” The Wind Rider stood up and walk to the door where Maxi was standing, “I have a Commission Letter for you from the High Counsel” As the Ride drew close to Maxi and looking her straight into her eyes. The rider step back and turned his head away from Maxi in fright. “What in gods name is wrong with you boy, have never see anybody with orange eyes before,” She snickered. “No ma’am, I haven’t.” the rider answered. “Well let get going boy, give the me letter, times a wasting, I don‘t have all day!” The rider, still with his head turned, reached into his cloak and pulled out the commissioned letter and handed it to Maxi. “You know, you are being quite rude at this very moment. I should report you to your Commander in Aesopia!” Maxi said. “Ma’am I’m sorry, your eyes just startled me.” the Rider said, as he turns his head to face Maxi.
Maxi broke the seal on the letter and began to read the letter. After a few moments, she took a step back from the door. “Ma’am, I do require a response to the letter,” the Rider said pointedly. Maxi drop her left hand with the letter still in her grasp. She then, looked deep into the Riders eyes, as if peering into his very soul. “It looks as if I don’t a choice in the matter, do I” Maxi said sharply. The rider replied, “I’m required to either bring you back with me or you can report to the Aesopia Keep on your own accords. But no later than a few days time. Either way, I’m required an answer and report back to Commander Sammy Redbeard.” “How about that,” she said, “Sammy made Home Commander, well good for him. Ok Wind Rider, let the commander know, I shall be at the keep in a couple days. I do have a few things to do, before risking my life for Aesopia again.” The Rider look at Maxi and ask, “If I may inquire, how will be getting to Aesopia?” Maxi reached into her blue blouse with a silver lining and pulled out a platinum teleportation medallion. Maxi looked at the young man and said, “will this do?” The rider smiled and nodded yes saying, “then I shall be on my way then.” The rider turned around walked off maxi’s porch and down the steps. Behind the maxi’s tall hedge, blocking her view, the Rider pulled his steed foreword by its reins. The Rider then mounts his stallion and began walking away until they were out Maxi’s sight.
Maxi turned around and looks at Mini, “looks like we have a quest to do Mini!” Mini replied sarcastically, “Well it’s about time we had something to do, I’m getting tired of my twenty hours of cat naps a day!” Mini looked up to Maxi and said, “Let get our stuff and go. Oh, don’t forget my cat nip toys!”
Minminpu
High within the dense tropical forest of Ape Atoll, Minminpu is running the Agility Course with her students. As the morning sun rose in the eastern sky, the fresh smell of the damp jungle forest comes alive with activity. As Min-min glides across the canopy, swing and jumping from tree to tree, as she calls back to her trainee, “This is way too easy, you guy really need to pick up and keep up!” Min-min stops atop of an mahogany tree, waiting for her transformed moneys in training to catch up. She looks to the east to feel the warmth of the sun in her fur. Such a beautiful day it was to be out, training in her skill of agility. Min-min knew that she was the best in all of Ape Atoll in the skill of agility. Min-min feels such a kinship with the jungle forest as if she was one with nature, wild and free. As she looks around the top of the canopy, taking in all of the greenery of the mighty yews and the giant mahogany tree lines. And she looks to the south, as Min-min gazes upon the teak tree groves. What a sight to behold. As her trainees round the bottom limbs of her mahogany tree she was standing upon, she began counting them as they continued the course. Min want to ensure all of her one hundred and fifty trainees were all accounted for as each one swung by. After the last chimp rounded the tree, Min-min jumped into action, gliding down to the bottom limb, then swing across to the next limb of the next tree, bring up the rear to the end of the course.
At the end of the course, all the transformed monkeys were all lined up and ready for Min-min to inspect them. As she passes each of the Chimp, she looked for any visible damage to their hands and fur from swing on the course. After the morning inspection was completed, seeing that all of her trainees were in good health and not a one injured from the course, Min-min sent them all home to eat breakfast and to rest for the next session. As they reached for their Gree-grees they all transformed back in to their human forms. Then they were all dismissed to return home until the afternoon agility change, fore which, Min must set up for soon. Min transformed herself, back into her Half-Elvin form. Min-min looked over her hands and bare feet to ensure to that did have any cuts or scrape from the early morning runs. “Oh how I love it,” she remark, as she began walking home from the course.
As Minminpu came closer to her teak wooden home, she noticed a warrior, clad in black dragon armor, standing in front of house with a midnight black stallion at his side. As Min drew closer, the rider removed his winged helm from his head. A half-elf here on Ape Atoll, this can only mean trouble, Min though to herself. She walk up the rider and asks, “Is there something that I can help you with?” The Rider nodded yes, “I have a Commissioned Letter for you, by the High Counsel.” As he reached into his riding cloak, he pulled the letter to hand to Minminpu. As she approached the rider, she looked at the unbroken seal of the High Counsel and said, “No, I no longer at the beckon call of the High Counsel, be gone from me!” “madam Minminpu, I was given orders to give you this letter and wait for your reply to this letter.” the Rider insisted. “Then you are about to wait a long time, because I’m not taking that letter!” she said as Min walk up to her porch. The rider then step forward, “please take this letter, time is at the essence. We have only a few days to reply this Commission Letter.” Well then, enjoy your stay on Ape Atoll, there is an Inn near the beach edge not more that two hundred yard to the east of here.” Min said, as she walks to her home and closed the front door behind her.
The afternoon sun was high in the sky, when Minminpu opened her front door and walked out onto her porch. The Rider was still in the same position she left him in. “I going to the agility course and I’m not taking that letter.” Min took her Gree-gree in her left hand and instanaiusly changed into a small chimpanzee. Min started to run, then jumped into the first yew branch she saw. From that point she sailed from one tree to another as if gliding on air. Within moments she was back on the Agility Course with her one hundred and fifty trainees who where waiting for Min to arrive. The Rider walk slowly to the edge of the course, looking on as Min-min was shouted orders to her trainees on how she wanted them to run the course. She wanted to challenge them to push them to their very limits. With her final words, all of the transformed chimps started run and jump onto the bottom branches of the yew trees and began their course run. Min took her Gree-gree and transformed back to into a half-elf. She walk back to the rivers edge where the Rider stood. “This is my home and this is my obligated duty, I train them to be fastest and strongest warriors, so if Ape Atoll is ever attacked again, they can fight back and resist any assualt upon them.” Min said pointedly. “This is my responsibility, I can’t abandon them now to serve the High Counsel.” “Madam Minminpu,” the Wind Rider says softly, “Please take the letter and read it first before turning it down. I must take back an answer with me to Commander Sammy Redbeard.”
Min jumps across the rocks in the stream to the other side and stood in front of the rider. The rider reached into his cloak and presented her with the Commissioned Letter. Min took the letter and broke the seal and began reading the letter. After a few minutes had passed in silence, Min grabed her Gree-gree and transformed into huge black and grey ape. The horse got excited and began to whinney, jumping side from to side trying to break away from the Ride. The Ride grab hold upon thhe reins to try to control his steed and trying to keep his mount in place. But, he was fighting a losing battle. Min began beating her breast with her muscular forearms and let out a loud horrifying screem. By this point the Stallion started bucking from front to rear and rider could no longer control his steed. The rider lost his grip that he had on the reins and steed began to run. Within seconds the stallion was in flight. Min watched as the rider lost his horse, then she jumped across the stream in a single leap and was gone. The Rider could do no more. His steed was gone, probably back to Aesopia and his detailed person of interest was back on to the agility course. He had failed. He began walking east, to where the Inn was located.
It was early morning when the Rider heard a knock on his bedroom door. The rider got up and stretched his arms as heard his elbows and wrists making popping sounds. Again the rider heard another round of rapping sounds at his door. “One moment please.” He said, as he rose to his feet feeling every aching joint in his body, from trying to control his steed from the day before. He grabbed his leather dragon chaps and up them on, then slowly walk to open the door. It was Minminpu dressed in black dragon armor and wearing an Black obby cape with a red lining. “I was hoping you had changed your mind.” he said as he turned around walking back to his bed. Min entered the small room that only had a small bed and a narrow clothing cabinet. “I’m sorry that you have lost your horse, it more than likely returned to Aesopia. They are well trained. As for you, I’m sorry that you got hurt in the process.” “I’m ok, I just hurt everywhere, thanks.” he said as he laid back into bed. “Well, I did decide to go back with you to Aesopia.” Min said sorrowfully, “I’m still obligated to serve the High Counsel.” “Well, I’m glad to hear it,” The rider said viciously, “But being that I had lost my steed, it going to be long walk and swim back to Aesopia.” he said. “Wind Rider, what is your name?” Min-Min asked, “My name is Thyriss, I’m glad to finally make your acquaintance, Minminpu. But, we still have one problem, I lost my stallion which means I can‘t get you back in time for the full moon.” Min look at Thyriss and said, “Well it’s a good thing for you that I’m a Blue Dragon Rider. Get yourself things ready, fore we leave for Aesopia within the hour.”
Phillipes Sylaire
“What a beautiful morning,” Phillipes said as walkout onto his floral balcony overlooking Faldor’s main park. As Phillipes lookout into the park, as he places his hand upon the balcony railing and watches as the gardeners sprucing up the rose and daffodil gardens. Still further west, he looks upon the small groves of oak saplings as the grow, fore they will be transplanted else where around Faldor. He gazed across the grand park looking to the west at Faldors white castle. He felt a sadness within his heart, as if home sick for Aesopia. “Now that is what I call a castle,” he thought loudly. But, Aesopia lacked the foot traffic of the many shoppers looking to buy his potions. If it were not for the personal need of wealth, I would be back home in the beautiful vale of Aesopia. But, for now he can only on gaze upon the dingy white palace of Faldor. With a slight breeze coming in his direction, he can get a slight scent of the white and red roses this morning. “Ah, but times a wasting”, he said cheerfully, as he looks around at his potted herb garden on his balcony. He inspected the Torsol, Dwarf weed and lantadyme, “for I have need of you this morning.” He carefully pick up each of the large potted plants moving them one at a time from his upstairs apartment down to his shop below. As finished bringing down the last pot the down upon his work bench.
He reached into the center drawer of the bench and pulled out a small pair of pruning snips as he begins to inspect the leaves of his Torsol plant. Carefully only choosing, the greenest leaf with the dark red veins running through it, then clipping them in their branch points at a forty-five degree angle. This more leaves will grow out from the grafting points. He was quite pleased being able to harvest fifteen leave from his Torsol plant, for they a hard herb to cultivate and grow in the first place. All of his herbs, that he grew take a lot of love and great care to grow properly. Phillipes pick up his leaves and took them to his work bench facing north. What a glass tubing monstrosity I have set up, he thought, as he places his Torsol leaf in the heating tube. He added few drops of water to the tub and set his small heating torch a blaze. He then adjusted level of the pressure tube bring it lower to capture juices of the red veins of the leaf as the burst open when the drops of water comes to a boil.
Just as the juices of the vein was captured in the secondary tube, there was a knock at his shop door. Phillipes blew out his torch and removed the secondary tube from the setup right and placed it in his vial case. Again, another round of knocking at his door. I’m not even open for business and here they come already, well he thought, they will just have to come back later. He walk over to the door and opened it a crack, “You must come back later, “ he said, “I’m not open for business yet” “Sir, my name is Devon. I carry a urgent Commissioned Letter from the High Counsel of Aesopia for you.” he said pleasantly. Phillipes opened the door a little wider to view his early visitor. There stood before him a nice looking half-elf youngling wearing a black dragon armor, black riding cloak with a gold lining and carrying his winged helm in his left hand. “Well, it been a while since I have seen a Wind Rider, speaking of which, where is your steed?” Phillipes asks. Devon looked and point to the south and said, “They told me I was not able to bring my stallion in, so I had to rent a stall for the day at the livery.” “Oh’, Phillipes said, “Where are my manners, please do come in young Devon. Would you care for some refreshments, juice, milk, water or tea?” Devon smile and said, “no thank you, I’m fine. But, I do have to give you this Commission Letter to you.” As he reached inside riding cloak and pulled out the letter. He hands the letter to Phillipes. “Well,” Phillipes said, “The official seal and everything. Is there a problem at home that I’m not aware of?” Again, Devon smiled, “I have no idea. I was not briefed as to the contents of the letter. I was only informed as to your location, to give you the letter and await an answer from you. That is the instructions given to me by Commander Sammy Redbeard.” “Well then,” Phillipes said with a grin, lets have a look inside and see what they want from me.” He broke open the seal, then unfolded the letter and began reading.
After a few minutes of silence had pasted, Phillipes walked to the bench where the potted herbs were located. Leaning against the bench was a five foot pole with a flat head attached to it. Phillipes pick up the pole and began thrusting it upwards beating the ceiling. Phillipes looked back at Devon and said, “I’m trying to await my son to come down. Once he is here, I have a few tasks for him to perform. Then I shall gather a few thing and we shall be on our way. Is this acceptable to you, young Devon.” Devon smiled, “yes it is, and thank you for your prompt reply” A few minutes had passed when Phillipes son appears at the bottom of the stairway of the shop. “Devon, I would like to introduce my son, Michael. Michael, you have the honored pleasure of meeting Devon, for he is an Aesopian Wind Rider. “ Michael extend his hand right hand to greet Devon as the both shake each others hands. “Son, I must leave with Devon to meet with the High Counsel in Aesopia. I need you to mind the store while I’m gone and finish extracting the juices from the Torsol and rest of the leaves to make the potions.” “I will father.” Michael said with a smile. “How long will you be gone?” Michael asks. Phillipes was already moving towards the apartment stairway and said, “Son, I maybe gone for a while. I’m not quite sure how long this is going to take.” With that, Phillipes climb the stairs up to his apartment.
After a few minutes had pasted, Phillipes was back down into the shop again wearing his leather black dragon armor with gold etching on the breast plate and wore his black riding cloak with a gold lining. “Did you not know, I to was a Wind Rider and before that, a Dragon Rider. Way before you were even born, young Devon.” he said smiling from ear to ear. “Well son, give your father a hug and I shall see you soon. Michael embraced his father and held one another for a few moments. Phillipes turned to Devon, “we are wasting the day light hours, we must be on our way.” He then walk over and opened his oak door and left the shop with Devon in tow.
Amalakiah
As the black stallion began to snort, flames flew out the steeds nostrils as he began to race furiously down the southern slops of the Aesopia Keep. Sweat began to lather on the steeds sides, the faster the stallion ran. With ever hove beat against the ground, his heart emulated the running beat sound. The steed hooves began to glow white each strike against the earth. As the Stallion whinnied, he made a bounding leap into the air and the hooves beats against the air fell to silence as the steed began riding the jet streams in the air. The Wind Rider leans into his steed as the wind beats against him. The Rider became cold the higher he and his stallion had gains in altitude. The rider rubs the gold lining of his riding cloak. In an exploding flash of light, the cloak became a blaze of red hot fire and envelopes the rider and his steed with the warming flames. The steeds main and tail turned deep fiery red as they whip from side to side. The stallion began to slow his running paces in the air as it became effortless in flight. When the riders steed felt at ease within its flight, his front leg folded towards the horse breast and rear legs extended outward as if the stallion were in a jumping position. As they streaked again the evening sky in a blaze of fire, the ride held the reins in his right hand that is a blaze and he reached into his cloak with his left hand and pulls out his tracking gem.
As the Wind rider rode across the hill country on the Gnome Stronghold, he glanced down upon the gem to see if there was a pulse of light, to give the rider some indication that Amal was in the area. But the gem remained lifeless. The rider urged his stallion on as they ride on southeast. As the rider entered East Ardougne, the small orange tracking gem came to life with a slight dim flash of light slowly pulsing. The rider smiles as he felt he final achieved something as he continued heading south. As he the rider entered the Yanille air space, he looked down upon the gem in his left hand,. The gem came alive glowing bright orange the closer he came to the city. The rider pulls back upon the reins to signal his stallion to land. The steed began running against the wind as his pace begin to slow. The rider rubbed the gold lining on his riding cloak, the flames of the fire dissipates and was gone in a flicker. As the stallions front hooves touch down upon the ground, he regained a normal run. The rider again pulled back upon the reins to bring his steed to a slowed gallop as they reached Yanille front gates.
The brought his horse to a stop, then dismounted from his steed. Rider looked down into left hand as the gem still glowed brightly in his palm. The rider walk his stallion through the open gates, onto a cobbled walkway into the small town. As the stallions hooves strike against the cobbled stone walkway, the sound echoes against the building as the street laid empty of people. The rider stop in front of the wizards guild and again glanced down into his left had, seeing the pulsing brightly in his palm. The rider tethered his steed to the front gates of the guild. As the rider neared wizards guild front door he noticed the orange tracking gem became lifeless. The rider heart fell to the ground for he knew Amal has teleported from the guild. The rider walk up to the think oak door of the guild and began knocking wildly. After a few moments had passed, a steel sliding sheet opened and a pair of blue eyes with a single bushy gray brow peered out from the other side of the door. “What do you want,’ deep gruff voices said, “You are not a member of the this guild! Be gone with you!“ “What,” the Rider said, “I’m looking for one of your members that may have just teleported from here, Amal. Can anyone tell me where he may have gone to. It a matter of great urgency!“ “What you ask is impossible for use to give out,” the gruff voice, “For the personal matters of our member are their own and if I knew where he had gone, I would have to keep it to myself. You have your answer, now leave before I call upon the Yanille guards“ The wizard on the other side of the guild oak door, slid the steel peep way closed. The rider slowly turned around and walk back to his steed and untied him the from the gate. The rider stroked his black stallions main and lightly padded the his neck. “Don’t worry my old friend, we will find him.” the rider said as he leads his steed out the city gates.
The Wind Rider and his steed was air borne again and was a blaze once more racing against the early morning sky. The rider flew east crossing the island of Karamja and main land sea faring town of Rimmington/Port Sarim, still the tracking gem was lifeless. They headed north flying over the great city of Faldor, still nothing. When the Rider flew of the Barbarian City, he looked down in his left palm as he noticed a slight pulse within the gem. The became excited for he was back on track once more. As they passed over the western edge of Varrock, the gem came alive once more glowing and pulsing brightly in his palm. The rider came a round and landed out side of the western gates of Varrock. He lead his steed through the gates walking toward the cities twenty four hour bank. The rider glanced down upon the bright steady orange glowing gem, he knew at that point Amal was inside. The rider tethered his stallion to the post outside of the bank and walk inside.
As he entered the nearly empty bank, at the far end stood of the tellers windows was cloaked gentleman, with brown hair and slightly point ears. This could only mean he is an half-elf. As the rider approached the gentleman, he called out, “excuse me sir, by any chance is your name Amalakiah?” “well, that totally depends who is asking,” he said a as he turned to face the rider. “Sir, I represent the High Counsel of Aesopia and I carry a Commission letter addressed to you, if you are Amalakiah .” the rider said in a single breath. “Wind Rider,” Amalakiah continued, “how in gods name did you manage to track me down, this was not coincidental meeting me here at the bank in Varrock!” The raised his left hand and open, exposing the brightly glowing orange tracking gem. “Well, I’ll be darned,” Amalakiah said, “There is only one person in all of the world that could have given you that track gem, Thalliah. Ok Wind Rider, where is this commission letter you spoke of?” The rider reach into his cloak and pulled the letter and handed it over to Amalakiah seal side up. Amalakiah took the letter, broke the seal and began reading. After a few moments of silence, Amalakiah spoke, “Well then, I guess I shall be teleporting to Aesopia then.” He said while smiling from ear to ear. “I love a good quest, I shall see in you in Aesopia then,” as he reached to shake the rider hand. “By the way, good job in finding me, you are a good tracker, young Winder Rider.”
Amalakiah told the rider to step back, as a blue and white hue light envelopes his enter body. Within seconds Amalakiah was gone.
